MINISTRY ITEMS & GIFT POLICY

Africa Freedom Mission works with a humanitarian travel agency to secure the ability for our team members to get checked luggage!

If the need arises, we may ask 2-week team members to carry ministry supplies in their checked luggage. Some 2-week team members choose to pack all of their belongings in a backpack and carry-on, but it’s completely acceptable to pack ONE checked bag. We would recommend only one checked bag for a 2-week trip. Month teams will need at least one checked bag for personal items due to the length of stay. You will have to pay fees for all checked bags during your domestic portion of your travel.

our ministry partners should not contact you directly for ministry supplies. If they do, please have them call us so that we can coordinate.

We try to do a good job of vetting our ministry partners so that they are ministries that display a high level of integrity.  So, with regards to giving gifts or sponsorships when in country, we ask that all giving be done through coordination with AFM leadership and our ministry partners.  If you see a need, or feel called to provide some type of sponsorship, please speak first with AFM staff and get their guidance on if/how to give.  

OUR MINISTRY PARTNERS SHOULD BE AWARE OF AND BE IN AGREEMENT WITH ALL FINANCIAL GIFTS GIVEN TO ANYONE YOU ENCOUNTER DURING MINISTRY IN AFRICA.
